Fairy Tale Theatre

Students become the trees of the enchanted forest, the animals, witches, and wolves, as they develop an original performance of a classic familiar fairy tale. Students explore basic elements of drama and theatre including improvisation, story development, character, and parts of the stage. Students also have a hand in props and costumes that will be used in the final performance.

"Fairy Tale Theater has inspired some of our shyest and emotionally challenged girls to express themselves freely, to use creativity, and to gain great self esteem." - Jennifer Demeres, Program Director, Girls Incorporated of Greater Lowell

Creative Movement

Students explore dance and movement with scarves, props, drumming, guitar, and other music with nature elements, story, and classroom themes. Through creative movement, students have fun exercising and exploring imaginative thinking  while developing spatial awareness, balance, and body control.
